Our breastfeeding class covers what you need to know to get breastfeeding off to the best start.
Our two hour Breastfeeding Class covers topics like breast changes, initiating breastfeeding in the hospital, the normal course of breastfeeding, and common breastfeeding challenges and how to avoid them. We also discuss practical issues, such as nursing in public, preparing to go back to work, and how your partner can support you. This class will provide you with the information you need to meet your breastfeeding goals, and leave you feeling confident about your ability to feed your baby.
After working with breastfeeding mothers for over four years, I have collected helpful techniques and ideas from various IBCLCs, breastfeeding peer organizations, and literature. All mothers and babies are different, but we hope to offer you tools and resources to help you and your baby meet your breastfeeding goals.
This class is typically offered on weekday evenings and is ideally taken in the second or third trimester. We have several dates scheduled, but let us know if none of these work for you and we can try to accommodate your schedule.
